Should You Book Tours When Traveling?
Spoiler, Go Ahead, Take the Tour. When traveling you should go after an authentic experience; you should really get to know the culture, the people, the neighborhoods. I have always been told to stay where the locals stay, eat where the locals eat and well, do what the locals do. This is solid advice, but sometimes it is worth it to do the touristy things too. Staying in hostels can be fun and also pretty affordable. They are a great way to make friends, especially if traveling solo. Usually people staying in hostels are looking to meet other travelers and make friends. While I have stayed in quite a few hostels with no issues, I have had things stolen and I have heard quite a few stories of people having their things stolen.
